Drapery

After a site measure has been completed, we take the time to carefully cut and press the fabric and linings, adding any trim or other embellishments and determine the best pattern placing when necessary. The drapery is tabled with each layer of lining added in and tacked at intervals to keep the lining and fabric from separating. Once all the layers are in place, we hand stitch the hems to ensure the fabric doesn’t shift or pull. This is a long painstaking process, but is the most important step as it creates the finest finished product with a beautiful drape and feel. The header is sewn to the client’s specifications.

In addition we offer motorization of all draperies and shades.  We work with all the major brands in motorization and automation such as Lutron, Somfy, BTX and Rollease Acmeda.  MCD can come up with a solution for almost any space and need. Fully integrated systems like Lutron, which can be paired with lighting, AV systems etc to provide a single interface that can be controlled via remote control or smartphones.  Somfy, Rollease or BTX can also be integrated with certain home automation systems such as Apple Homekit, Google Home and Amazon Alexa, or can be installed as a traditional stand alone system with a controller.

We’re experts at installing these systems based on site conditions and client needs. Most projects are best suited for low voltage or line voltage systems, however when there is no power source available we offer the best battery operated motors on the market from these brands.  There truly is a solution for every need with our line of motorized products.
